Description

Zeopure Powder from Microbe-Lift is a very fine zeolite filter medium for removing pollutants from the aquarium water. This mineral of volcanic origin with a clinoptilolite content of about 90% has the property of adsorbing undesirable substances such as phosphate. Ammonium is also efficiently bound and thus removed from the nitrogen cycle of the tank before it is oxidised to nitrate and nitrite by nitrifying bacteria.
Zeopure Powder can be used in both marine and freshwater aquariums and is very suitable for the treatment of problem cases, such as blue-green algae bloom (cyanobacteria).

Application

Dose one level teaspoon of Zeopure Powder per 100 l of water directly into the aquarium at a well flowed position. Alternatively, the zeolite can be dosed in liquid form.
To prepare a stock solution, 5 - 10 tablespoons of the powder are dissolved in 5 l distilled water in a suitable container. Dose 50 ml of this stock solution twice a week to 100 l of water directly into the tank. Daily dosage can be made if required. Shake well before each use.

Notes

Directly after applying Zeopure Powder the water is very turbid. After a few hours, however, the water is crystal clear again.
An overdose of Zeopure Powder is not possible.
In case of problems with cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) it is recommended to use Zeopure Powder in combination with Microbe-Lift Special Blend and Nite-Out II. Only distilled or ultrapure water may be used to prepare a stock solution, as the solution will otherwise be contaminated and therefore not have a long shelf life.
