Description
Bucephalandra sp. "Mini Needle Leaf" is one of the smallest Bucephalandra forms. It is propagated by tissue culture. We do not have exact information about its origin and species identity, but apparently it is comparable with Bucephalandra sp. "Sekadau 1".
This particularly nice, small epiphyte has elongate, middle to dark green, somewhat wavy leaflets on a creeping to ascending rhizome. It grows very slowly and is especially suited for the creation of small-scale, delicate aquascapes, especially in nano tanks.
As well as other Bucephalandra forms, it is recommendable to attach "Mini Needle Leaf" on the hardscape, but it also does well when it is fixed to the ground (don't bury the rhizome!) where the roots will grow into the ground. It is an easy plant, however it looks best with medium lighting, good water current and constant CO2 and nutrient supply.

I bought 2 Vitro XL portions of the plant and in 3 weeks every single one of them melted beyond recognition. (read more)
