CO2 can be added to the aquarium with different methods. Absolutely invisible inside the tank are external reactors or inline atomisers in the filtering system of the external filter. However, there are optically very pleasing glass diffusers for the use inside the aquarium tank, which produce very small CO2 bubbles that are released into and distributed by the current.
Various types and dimensions of glass diffusers with a ceramic membrane are available, depending on the aquarium size ? we offer them for nano aquaria as well as for aquascapes in larger tanks, and you will find several brands in our product range. There are quite a few manufacturers who produce glass diffusers. Those made by Aqua Design Amano (ADA) are of a particularly high quality, produced with the utmost care. They combine fine CO2 bubbles and absolutely crystal-clear glass ? an optical highlight for every aquascape.
More favourably-priced glassware diffusers, however, also have a good price-performance ratio. Please keep in mind that the entire ceramic membrane is only used if CO2 is supplied in extremely high doses. This applies to the more expensive as well as to the more favourably-priced brands.
For aquascapes, inline atomisers as well as glass diffusers are a great possibility to supply the plants with optimal CO2 levels.
