Description
The JDAquatec Maxi Reactor with a fixed bypass has been specifically designed for large aquariums and very high flow rates. Thanks to the integrated bypass system with ball valve, the filter’s performance remains fully maintained, even when operated with extremely powerful pumps. The Maxi Reactor is suitable for tanks from 500 up to an impressive 10.000 litres and achieves a CO2 dissolution capacity of up to 4.000 bubbles per minute. The sturdy mounting clamp and robust construction allow secure and flexible integration into existing filter systems, entirely without additional support bracket.
The reactor is installed vertically discreetly outside the aquarium between the filter and the hose leading back into the tank. There, it is secured firmly using the tight-fitting mounting clamp. As the system operates without a diffusion membrane, the water is enriched directly with CO2 as it flows through and is then distributed evenly throughout the aquarium via the entire filter circuit.This enormous dissolution efficiency is achieved by a specially generated water vortex inside the reactor. This vortex keeps the injected CO2 in the upper section of the reactor until it is completely dissolved in the water. Unlike many other systems, the reactor operates without trickle media or other internal components that could become clogged over time. As a result, the system operates extremely reliably and is completely maintenance-free.
To control the CO2-concentration in the aquarium, a drop checker is recommended. Furthermore, the upstream CO2-system should be protected from backflowing water with an appropriate check valve.
The Maxi Reactor can also be used for saltwater aquariums. However, it is recommended to use it only in nitrogen and phosphate limited marine tanks and to perform a consistent pH-control.
