Description
Neoregelia 'Amarilis' is a magnificent bromeliad cultivar that is characterised by its impressive leaf colours and decorative appearance. Its ancestors originate from the tropical rainforests, where they thrive as epiphytes in the trees or terrestrially on the forest floor. 'Amarilis' is the result of careful selection and hybridisation to create a plant that thrives not only in its natural habitat but also in human care, offering an exquisite display of colour. This bromeliad prefers a bright spot, but without direct midday sun to avoid burns. The temperature in the terrarium should be between 18 and 27 °C, with a high humidity of 60 to 80 %. Watering should be targeted and the centre of the rosette must be kept moist without waterlogging.
Neoregelia 'Amarilis' quickly becomes an eye-catcher in terrariums thanks to its radiant leaf colouring and the central inflorescences that form in the heart of the rosette. The flowers are known for their delicate colours, which can vary from soft pink to deep purple, and blend harmoniously into the overall appearance of the plant. With its exotic appearance and bright flowers, 'Amarilis' makes a fascinating addition to rainforest terrariums and is a centrepiece for any plant lover.
