Limnophila brownii is endemic to the northern part of Australia. This Ambulia species is little known as aquarium plant and rarely available in the trade. With its very fine leaf pinnae, it resembles Limnophila aquatica and L. indica. Its leaf whorls are smaller than those of L. aquatica. Good lighting provided, the shoot tips develop bronze-brown hues. The stem is often brown-red coloured.
Under favourable conditions, the Darwin River Ambulia is a fast-growing plant. CO2 injection, regular nutrient supply and medium to strong lighting are recommendable. As well as all stem plants, this species can be propagated by stem cuttings, occasionally it also develops runner-like horizontal shoots with vertical stems.
This rare Ambulia is a nice eyecatcher as dense group in the midground to background. According to its origin, it is an appropriate plant for the design of "geographically correct" Australia-themed tanks.
Please be aware that the bunch/potted variation of this plant could contain snails and other invertebrates.

Plant arrived in very good condition and when happy is a very nice plant, but im my experience underwater it have a strong tendency to melting. Need time to acclimatize and when acclimatized if i put stems in other tanks or something is wrong for her (sudden change in conditions)it invariably melt to slowly reappear from a ugly survived stem, in a number of weeks im down at two stems or three, not a nutrient or co2 problem it is in hi tech tanks where ie pogostemon stellatus, tonina or miriophyllum tuberculatum trive i admit still dont understand Whath this plant need for long therm keeping (stability is key i think )
I find this plant challenging and will keep tryng make it happy.
I reccomend this as a challenging rare plant, but for less trouble go for indica or aquatica in larger tanks.
