Description
The Fluval AquaClear Biomax is a biological filter medium for efficient support of the nitrogen cycles in the aquarium. The BIOMAX nodes are made of highly porous material that provides a particularly large surface area for the colonisation of beneficial bacteria. These microorganisms make a significant contribution to the breakdown of harmful substances such as ammonia and nitrite and thus promote a stable, healthy aquarium environment.
The special structure of the Biomax elements ensures even water distribution in the filter. This extends the contact time of the water with the biologically active surface, which further increases the cleaning performance. We recommend replacing the material every three months to ensure optimum results in the long term.
The filter medium is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums and can be easily inserted into the chambers of AquaClear filters designed for this purpose.
