Description

The EHEIM thermocontrol e is the electronically controlled variant of the standard heater EHEIM thermocontrol. It offers all the advantages of the known heating element with even more precise adjustment options.

With the EHEIM thermocontrol e, the tempertaur in the aquarium can now be set even more precisely so that the water always provides the optimum environment for your residents. The heating rod is simply hung in the water. A jacket made of special laboratory glass increases the heating surface, serves as a heat shield and ensures optimal, even heat emission.

The EHEIM thermocontrol is available in 10 sizes. So it can be used for aquariums of 20 to 1.200 l. It maintains a temperature of 20 to 32 degrees Celsius, while it has a control accuracy of +/- 0.5 degrees. A control lamp indicates the heating function. It comes with 2 suction cups and can be easily attached to the aquarium.

Warning notes:

Do not allow the device packaging or small parts to be accessed by children or persons unaware of their actions, as this may pose hazards (risk of suffocation!). Keep the product away from animals.
This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless you supervise or instruct them accordingly. Children must not play with the device.
This device may be used by children from 3 years and up, and by persons with reduced capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, if supervised or instructed on safe use and the resulting risks are understood. Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children unless supervised.
Burn hazard! The device becomes very hot during and immediately after operation. Never touch hot parts or the heating zone.

General notes:

Ensure that the glass body of the heater has no cracks or fractures.
The device must be submerged at least up to the “MIN. WATER LEVEL” marking before operation. Never operate the device outside of water.
After disconnecting from the mains, the device must remain in the water for at least 30 minutes to cool down.
Never place a hot device on heat-sensitive surfaces.
The device must not be operated with an additional timer or control system.

Handling notes:

Perform a visual inspection before use to ensure the device, especially the power cable and plug, is undamaged.
Repairs must only be carried out by an EHEIM service centre.
The power cable of this device cannot be replaced. If damaged, the device must be discarded.
Only perform tasks described in this manual.
Never make technical modifications to the device.
Use only original spare parts and accessories for the device.
We recommend all electrical aquarium devices be protected by an RCD with a rated residual current of max. 30?mA. Contact a qualified electrician for assistance.
Always disconnect all devices in the aquarium from the mains when not in use, before installing or removing parts, and before cleaning or maintenance work.
Protect the socket and plug from moisture. Always form a drip loop with the power cable to prevent water from reaching the socket and causing a short circuit.
The electrical specifications of the device must match the specifications of the power supply. These can be found on the nameplate, the packaging or in the instructions.
