Chihiros CO₂ Set Premium

The CO₂ Premium Set combines high-precision components for efficient and consistent CO₂ supply. It includes the Chihiros CO₂ Regulator PRO Limited Edition with integrated solenoid valve and bubble counter, a high-pressure CO₂ hose (PUR, crystal clear, 3 m), an Aquasabi Orb Checker Nano, the CO₂ indicator solution Aqua Rebell CO₂ Check (20 mg/l, 250 ml) and the Aquario Neo CO₂ Diffuser Original. This set ensures stable and reliable CO₂ fertilisation and is ideal for demanding plants and complex aquascaping layouts. All included components stand out due to their excellent build quality and allow precise control.

The Chihiros CO₂ Regulator PRO - Limited Edition is a precision CO₂ regulator with dual pressure gauge for stable and accurate CO₂ control in planted aquariums. It is compatible with standard CO₂ cylinders featuring CGA320 and W21,8 thread, and enables exact adjustment of the bubble rate for optimal CO₂ levels.
The integrated 12V DC solenoid valve provides safe and energy-efficient operation, while the built-in safety valve automatically relieves pressure if it exceeds 100 PSI. The supplied bubble counter with check valve prevents backflow of water into the system.
The included Chihiros Bluetooth controller allows wireless programming via the MyChihiros app. It lets you set specific time intervals for CO₂ supply or shut-off. The controller is connected via a simple plug and is ready to use instantly.

The CO₂ high-pressure hose made of polyurethane is food-safe, entirely crystal-clear and free of markings. Note: PUR hoses are not ideal for direct use with glassware. We recommend placing the hose in very hot water before attaching it to make it flexible. When removing from glassware, heating the hose again (e.g., with a lighter) is advised to avoid glass breakage.

The CO₂ Drop Checker (Orb Checker Nano) allows for easy monitoring of CO₂ levels in aquarium water. The included indicator solution from Aqua Rebell changes colour based on the CO₂ content: green indicates an ideal value of 20 mg/l, blue means too little CO₂, and yellow indicates excessive CO₂ levels in the tank or aquascape.

The AQUARIO NEO CO₂ Diffuser Original is a compact acrylic CO₂ diffuser. A special ceramic membrane finely disperses the CO₂ into tiny bubbles, allowing it to dissolve very efficiently in the water. For best results, we recommend soaking the diffuser in water for 10 minutes before first use to displace trapped air. This minimises the formation of large bubbles beneath the membrane, especially during the first 24 hours. Alternatively, simply wait after installation – the CO₂ will eventually displace any remaining air on its own.

Step 1: Preparation

• Check all parts for completeness and integrity.
• Clean threads and joints using a dry cloth.

Step 2: Prepare the bubble counter

• Unscrew the cap of the bubble counter.
• Fill it with water up to the recommended mark.
• Screw the cap back on tightly.

Step 3: Mount the regulator

• Secure the regulator onto the CO₂ cylinder.
• Ensure all fittings are tight.

Step 4: Connect power

• Connect the solenoid valve to the power adapter.
• Plug the adapter into a socket.

Step 5: Open the cylinder

• Slowly open the main valve on the CO₂ cylinder.
• Check pressure on both gauges.

Step 6: Set working pressure

• Turn the main adjustment knob clockwise to increase pressure.
• Set the recommended working pressure of 25 PSI.

Step 7: Regulate CO₂ supply

• Carefully turn the needle valve clockwise to adjust CO₂ output.
• Observe bubble rate in the bubble counter.

Step 8: Final check

• Ensure even CO₂ flow throughout.
• Check for leaks at all connections.
• Adjust CO₂ supply if needed.

The CO₂ system is now ready to use.
Important: Ensure that all accessories are securely connected before operation. Refer to the manual if unsure.

If algae build up on PETG components, it’s time to clean them. The process is simple but should be done thoroughly. Afterwards, the PETG parts will shine like new.

• Use standard household chlorine cleaner (without fragrances). Always observe the safety instructions provided by the manufacturer.
• Mix the cleaner 1:1 with water in a container. Use enough liquid to submerge the PETG part completely.
• Leave to soak for ½ to 1 hour depending on the level of dirt.
• Remove the item and rinse thoroughly with clear water.
• After cleaning, the PETG part should look like new again.
• Warning: Never mix chlorine and vinegar! Life-threatening risk!
