Description
The Stone Sets McDonald Boulder by the brand WIO consist of a combination of different rounded and marbled stones in rich pink. Its name is a tribute to the largest lake in Glacier National Park in Montana, USA. It is a colourful boulder that creates a unique riverbed impression to an aquascape or terrascape. With its colours ranging from dark red to maroon and from green to blue and black, it adds a very individual touch to any layout.
The coloured boulder of Lake McDonald owes its colours to the iron content in the sedimentary rocks and their degree of oxidation. Over millions of years and under different conditions, these boulder have formed, resulting in the beautiful colours we see today. The rocks of the lake were then ground into small coloured pebbles by huge blocks of ice during the Ice Age, which were then brought down into the valley by streams of meltwater.
The stone can slightly increase the pH value and the hardness, but regular water changes are sufficient to keep the hardness under control. A set always consists of different sized stones and small pieces of stone to create a charming landscape with depth effect.

Note
These Rocks sets are untreated natural products. They can be used in aquariums as well as in terrariums. It is recommended to clean and rinse Rocks decoration under running water before using it in the aquarium. This removes the finest stagnant particles, which can otherwise cause cloudiness when a new aquarium is set up. Slight residues of moss or lichen cannot be ruled out completely.
The sets are already compiled before they reach Aquasabi, so they can not be opened or altered.
