Description
The Me Carbo Ultra Flex CO2 System is a CO2 fertilisation system for aquarium plants. It provides a reliable CO2 supply and is ideal for aquascapes and planted aquariums.
The Flex system enables precise CO2 dosing and, thanks to the included adapter, can be used with both disposable and refillable CO2 cylinders. The supplied pressure regulator is equipped with a solenoid valve for automatic night-time shut-off.
In addition to the diffuser and transparent CO2 tubing, the set also includes a CO2 drop checker with indicator solution. It continuously monitors the CO2 level through an easy-to-read colour change, making it simple to fine-tune the CO2 supply. This ensures aquarium plants receive the carbon they need for healthy growth and vibrant colours.

Application
Before commissioning, fill the bubble counter to approximately two-thirds with water. Then screw the pressure regulator onto a suitable CO2 cylinder with the cylinder valve closed and connect the CO2 tubing to the diffuser. Thanks to the included adapter, the system can be operated with both refillable and disposable CO2 cylinders.
The solenoid valve is connected to a suitable timer or CO2 controller. It opens when power is supplied and automatically shuts off the CO2 supply when the power is disconnected. This allows the CO2 supply to be conveniently synchronised with the lighting period, preventing unnecessary CO2 consumption during the night.
After slowly opening the cylinder valve, the right-hand pressure gauge displays the cylinder pressure. The desired working pressure is set using the pressure regulator, after which the CO2 flow is adjusted via the precision needle valve.
The included CO2 drop checker allows continuous monitoring of the CO2 concentration in the aquarium. The colour change of the indicator solution quickly shows whether the CO2 level is too low, optimal or too high. This makes it easy to adjust the bubble rate and maintain an ideal CO2 supply for healthy plant growth while ensuring safe CO2 levels for aquarium inhabitants.
After use, close the cylinder valve and release the remaining pressure from the system.

Cleaning
Clean the system regularly and carefully to ensure reliable operation of the diffuser and CO2 accessories.
- Shut off the CO2 supply before cleaning.
- Carefully clean the diffuser and CO2 drop checker if necessary.
- Check tubing and connections for secure fit and contamination.
After cleaning, reconnect all components securely and check the system for leaks.

- The solenoid valve must only be operated with the specified voltage.
Handling instructions:
- Only install or remove the regulator when the cylinder valve is closed.
- Never tighten with excessive force – the seals must not be damaged.
