Description
Jack leaves come from the jack fruit tree which is originated from Sir Lanka. The leaves contain minerals and small amounts of humic acid. These substances are released into the water and thus strengthen the resistance of shrimp. In addition, they contribute to a positive climate in the aquarium. The leaves disintegrate very slowly allowing microorganisms to gather on them, which serve as a food source for the shrimp.
Moreover, jack leaves are also a wonderful natural reflection of shrimp habitat. They serve as hiding places for juvenile shrimp and other small aquarium inhabitants and, therefore, are ideal for shrimp breeding.
