This sand is really pretty. It provides a very nice contrast with dark stones like black lava stones. Its a reddish , fine sand , perfect for cories and not too light to clog the filters or floats around. You can actually plant on it but i dont recommend it for higher setups since the dirt substrates dont synergy well with sand.
But here is the one star off and be careful!
It was amazingly dirty. It took me literally hours of cleaning it into a bucket until the water comes out clean.
As it says its pre-rinsed, and other users reviewed that it was clean out of the box.
In my case, if i have used this before washing it would be a terrible disaster of clouding .
So in conclusion, red beauty ,very nice grain and if you wash it you wont have any issues at all!
