About 1-2 bark pieces per 20 l water. It is recommended to rinse the bark with hot water before use. In the aquarium the pieces will float for up to one day before they sink. They can be soaked in a separate vessel before, however the bark releases a greater amount of active substances if it is put directly into the tank.
The ingredients are released over a period of about 2 weeks. After that, the bark can remain in the aquarium.
