Me CO₂ Set Ultra

The CO₂ Set Ultra is a premium complete solution for the precise and convenient CO₂ supply of planted aquariums. At the heart of the set is the Me CO₂ Regulator Ultra with an integrated solenoid valve and bubble counter, allowing exceptionally precise adjustment of the CO₂ supply. The set also includes a CO₂ high-pressure hose (PUR, crystal clear, 3 m), an Orb Checker Nano including Aqua Rebell CO₂ Check Indicator Solution, and an AQUARIO NEO CO₂ Diffusor Original, available in Mini, Medium or Large depending on the selected variant. The high-quality Me CO₂ Regulator Ultra incl. Solenoid Valve reliably reduces the cylinder pressure of a pressurised CO₂ cylinder to the required working pressure and enables particularly precise adjustment of the CO₂ supply. Thanks to the high-quality pressure gauges for cylinder and working pressure, both the current cylinder pressure and the set working pressure can be conveniently monitored at any time. The precision needle valve allows the bubble rate to be adjusted accurately, whilst the integrated bubble counter makes it easier to monitor the CO₂ supply. The integrated solenoid valve also enables the CO₂ supply to be switched off automatically at night.

The CO₂ high-pressure hose made from polyurethane is food-safe, completely crystal-clear and free from printed markings. Please note that PUR hoses are not ideally suited for connection to glassware. Before installation, it is therefore advisable to briefly immerse the hose in very hot water to make it more flexible. When removing glassware, the hose should also be warmed again, for example with a lighter. Following these instructions can significantly reduce the risk of glass breakage.

The bubble counter is a useful tool for monitoring the CO₂ supply in aquariums. By counting the CO₂ bubbles over a defined period of time, it is possible to roughly estimate the amount of carbon dioxide being added to the aquarium. The bubble counter features an integrated check valve, whose primary purpose is to prevent aquarium water from flowing back into the CO₂ system, particularly if the supply pressure drops.

The Aqua Rebell Orb Checker Nano makes it easy to monitor the CO2 concentration in the aquarium water at any time. The included Aqua Rebell CO₂ Check Indicator Solution changes colour depending on the CO₂ concentration in the water. Green indicates an optimal CO₂ concentration of approximately 20 mg/l, blue indicates that the CO₂ concentration is too low and yellow indicates that it is too high.

The AQUARIO NEO CO₂ Diffusor Original is made from high-quality acrylic and uses its special ceramic membrane to produce a particularly fine CO₂ mist. This allows the carbon dioxide to dissolve efficiently in the aquarium water and makes it optimally available to the aquatic plants. Before first use, it is advisable to soak the diffusor in water for approximately 10 minutes so that the ceramic membrane becomes completely saturated and can achieve optimal performance.

Please only use the pressure regulator after reading the operating instructions linked above.

• Before use, fill the bubble counter approximately two-thirds full with water.
• With the cylinder valve closed, screw the regulator onto the CO₂ cylinder with a W21.8 thread.
• Connect the CO₂ hose to the outlet of the pressure regulator.
• Connect the solenoid valve to a suitable timer or control system. It opens when supplied with power and closes automatically in the event of a power failure.
• After slowly opening the cylinder valve, the right-hand pressure gauge displays the cylinder pressure.
• Adjust the working pressure using the fine adjustment valve. The left-hand pressure gauge displays the outlet pressure.
• Adjust the bubble rate as required using the control knob. A typical setting for planted aquariums is 1–3 bubbles per second.
• Then monitor the CO₂ concentration using the Aqua Rebell Orb Checker Nano and CO₂ Check Indicator Solution and adjust it if necessary.
• Before first use, soak the AQUARIO NEO CO₂ Diffusor in water for approximately 10 minutes so that the ceramic membrane becomes completely saturated.
• After use, close the cylinder valve and release the remaining pressure from the system.

If algae accumulate on PETG items, it is time to clean them. Cleaning is not difficult but should be done thoroughly. Afterwards, the PETG will shine like new again.

• Use regular household chlorine cleaner (hygienic cleaner) without added fragrances. Always follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions when handling chlorine bleach.
• Pour some chlorine cleaner into a container and mix it with 50% water. Ensure there is enough solution to completely submerge the PETG item.
• Immerse the PETG item in the solution for ½ to 1 hour (depending on the level of dirt).
• Remove the PETG item and rinse it thoroughly.
• At this point, all dirt should be gone, and the PETG item will shine like new again.
• Warning: Do not mix chlorine with vinegar! This creates a life-threatening hazard!
