Description

Tropica Carbon Nutrition by Tropica is a liquid carbon supplement for the regular supply of aquarium plants. The product provides plants with an easily available source of carbon and thus supports stable, vigorous growth. Carbon is a central component of photosynthesis; if it is lacking, plants fail to grow properly. In practice, a lack of CO₂ often leads to weak biomass formation, which encourages unwanted algae. Tropica Carbon Nutrition addresses this issue by delivering carbon in a form that aquatic plants can absorb particularly well.

Tropica Carbon Nutrition is suitable for planted freshwater aquariums of varying plant density. Daily dosing promotes leaf mass, strong shoots, and the formation of healthy, compact growth. Improved plant performance binds nutrients more efficiently, which helps prevent algae because competitive plants use up excess resources. When used as recommended, Tropica Carbon Nutrition does not affect the aquarium’s microbiology. The product can be used as a stand-alone carbon supplement or in combination with other nutrient fertilizers from Tropica to ensure a balanced nutrient profile.

The use of Tropica Carbon Nutrition is especially recommended in tanks without a CO₂ system, in newly set-up aquascapes, and in phases of fluctuating supply. Continuous, daily dosing ensures consistent availability and predictable maintenance routines. In combination with appropriate lighting, sufficient macro- and micronutrients, and good water circulation, Tropica Carbon Nutrition contributes to a stable, well-maintained planted aquarium.
