Description

Aquarium plants are the green power plants of the aquarium. They fulfil several important functions at once. Aquarium plants produce oxygen and improve the water quality. In this way, aquatic plants ultimately support fish-friendly husbandry in aquariums. Tetra ActiveSubstrate is a natural substrate that ensures a plant-friendly soil climate and magnificent, healthy plant growth. It supports rapid rooting and promotes the colonisation of beneficial soil bacteria. The large surface area and porous structure of the water-neutral clay granulate offer various advantages over conventional gravel. For example, Tetra ActiveSubstrate enables even water circulation thanks to 50% more water permeability, which supports better water circulation and thus a better supply of nutrients to the plants. Tetra ActiveSubstrate also offers a natural, attractive appearance and prevents soil compaction. This prevents root rot.

Application

Wash thoroughly to remove transport-related abrasion and thus avoid turbidity. Fill the aquarium with an approx. 4 cm high layer of Tetra ActiveSubstrate. For optimal plant growth, the manufacterer recommends a 2 - 4 cm high layer of the substrate concentrate Tetra CompleteSubstrate as a base.
