Description

The Seachem Catappa Tea Bags provide the benefits of the Indian almond tree (Terminalia catappa) in a particularly convenient form for aquarium use. The natural tannins they contain help create conditions similar to those found in many tropical blackwater habitats and are especially suitable for shrimp, Siamese fighting fish (bettas) and other sensitive aquarium inhabitants.

By releasing valuable humic substances and tannins, the water develops a slight amber tint and may be influenced towards mildly acidic water conditions. This helps create a more natural environment that closely resembles the habitat of many aquatic animals.

Application

Boil one tea bag in 1 litre of water for approximately 10 minutes.
Allow the extract to cool to aquarium temperature before adding it to the aquarium.
Alternatively, place the tea bag directly in the filter.
Dosage in the filter: 1 tea bag per 40 litres of aquarium water.
