Description
The oak branches come from the mixed forests of the northern Black Forest and can be used in many ways in any aquarium. They are ideal for creating a natural-looking scape for shrimp to climb around and other aquatic creatures to swim through. In addition, they can serve as a natural food supplement for crayfish and sucking catfish. The fibres of the wood are an important part of the diet of these limnivores. Organic microfilm forms on the surface of the bark, which serves as a welcome food source.
The oak branches have a dark, coarse bark with a distinctive grain that gives them a natural and rustic appearance. Depending on the age and thickness of the branches, the bark may slightly crack or peel, which further enhances their authentic look. Like all types of wood, oak branches release humic and tannic substances into the water, which may cause a slight amber tint. Each branch is unique and one of a kind, with its own shape and texture. The thickness of the branches may vary. The composition of the sets cannot be influenced as they are already pre-assembled. The branches are delivered well dried and therefore do not sink to the bottom immediately.
