Description
Nitrate is one of the most important aquatic plant nutrients and thus ought to be present in the water in sufficient levels at all times. Standard nitrate tests for aquaristic purposes often have a very short useful life or are quite imprecise. The Visocolor ECO tests by Macherey-Nagel are colorimetric and unite a high precision with a long useful life. They are excellent for exact determination of the nitrate levels in an aquarium.
Nitrate is reduced to nitrite with an inorganic reduction agent. With the nitrite, an aromatic amin is diazotized, which is afterwards coupled to form an azoic dye.

Der beste Nitrattest den ich bisher hatte. Sehr gut abzulesen insbesondere bei niedrigen Nitratgehalten. Sehr wertige Aufbewahrungsbox. Hier macht das Testen wieder Freude. (read more)
Dieser Test punktet sofort schon einmal durch seine Aufbewahrungsbox. Jedes Teil hat seinen bestimmten Platz im Gegensatz zu anderen, wo alles nur in einer Schachtel liegt. (read more)
