Description

JBL ProNovo Plankton is a high-quality straight feed for specialised plankton feeders as well as a natural treat for almost all ornamental fish. The contained freshly caught zooplankton (small crustaceans and molluscs up to 2 mm in size) originates directly from Arctic waters and is processed immediately at the place of catch without preservatives. A special temperature process allows preservation without altering the natural consistency or original moisture content.

The integration into the JBL ProNovo range followed the great success of JBL PlanktonPur. The product has been optimised in several respects: the pack contains eight individual portion sachets of 3 g pure natural food each. The natural moisture content ensures that the plankton retains its soft, species-appropriate texture and is particularly well accepted by fish.

JBL ProNovo Plankton is suitable for freshwater and marine fish from 1–10 cm in size, but is also appreciated by larger species that prefer fine food, such as Geophagus species or discus. Wild-caught specimens that are not yet accustomed to dry food readily accept this natural feed. Even sensitive feeding specialists such as many butterflyfish take the plankton without hesitation. The portion sachets are made from a new PP composite material that is 20 % thinner, reducing packaging material and actively contributing to environmental protection.
