Description

Hobby Microcell Artemia Food is a complete, powdered rearing food for Artemia nauplii. It contains extremely fine phytoplankton, which can be ingested despite the small size of the Artemia nauplii. Feeding can be started 1 - 2 days after hatching with Liquizell. After about 8 - 10 days of living, the Artemia have grown to such an extent that feeding with Hobby Microcell Artemia Food can be continued.

Features

  • Wholesome rearing food for Artemia nauplii
  • Applicable about 8 - 10 days after hatching
  • Contains very fine phytoplankton
  • For natural rearing
  • Can also be used for rearing shrimp

Application

After 8 - 10 days the artemia have grown so much that you can continue feeding with microcells. No further feeding should be done as long as there are still visible green food particles in the water. The water should be stirred occasionally or coarse air should be introduced to keep the fine food algae in suspension, as even the tiniest particles sink to the bottom over time due to their own weight and can no longer be filtered out as food.

Note

As long as there are still visible green particles in the water, no further feeding should be done. The development of Artemia crayfish progresses quite slowly in the first two weeks. Especially in the early stages, the nauplii are susceptible to bacteria. Excessive bacterial growth is often caused by overfeeding or too high temperatures.
