Description
The EHEIM SUBSTRATpro is an optimized bio-filter medium with perfect volume utilization, long service life and maximum degradation. It consists of spherically sintered quartz. The spherical shape allows a high bulk density. Thus, the volume in the filter can be fully utilized. In addition, the surface of the beads ensures intensive settlement of the important purification bacteria. It forms a dense bacterial lawn. Due to the high number of bacteria also nitrite pollution peaks are better reduced and the service life of the filter material is extended.
EHEIM SUBSTRATpro is available in 4 sizes (0,25 l, 1 l, 2 l and 5 l ). It is washable and reusable.

I am using this Filter Media in the same 30l cube for almost 4 years now, I only rinsed the canister once every year and the aquarium water is sparkling.
Highly recommend!
