The Carbo Bio Style 120 bio CO₂-fertiliser system from Dennerle supplies freshwater aquariums up to 120 litres with important CO₂. It is ready for operation in just a few steps. CO₂ production starts after only 24 to 48 hours. A Bio CO₂-diffusor specially designed for low operating pressure ensures fast, effective dissolution of the valuable CO₂ in the aquarium water. Thanks to its modern, timeless design, the fertiliser unit also cuts a fine figure standing directly next to the aquarium. A pressure relief valve, pressure-resistant CO₂-hose and solid hose fittings ensure a high level of operating safety. The Carbo Bio Style 120 CO₂ fertiliser system is designed to be particularly sustainable: The stainless steel reaction tank is refillable and can be used for many years, the CO₂ Constant gel consists of 100 % renewable raw materials.

Plants consist of almost half carbon. CO₂ is therefore their most important nutrient. It serves as the basic building block of photosynthesis. Because from CO₂, water and light they produce their most important building material and energy source: sugar. The "waste material" is oxygen. Without the addition of CO₂, the level in aquaria is always too low. Plants therefore grow only slowly or not at all. This in turn means danger of algae problems. Well-growing aquatic plants are the best prevention against algae! Only a regular addition of CO₂ creates the natural basis for healthy, strong plant growth, lush green leaves and bright colours. The plants produce more oxygen for the fish, ensure better water quality and actively prevent algae.

The carbon is produced by a 100 % natural bio-reaction. Selected microorganisms, in combination with the CO₂ Constant gel developed by Dennerle, supply an almost constant amount of CO₂ (per filling) for at least 40 days.

CO₂-production of Carbo Bio Style compared to other organic CO₂-systems

In conventional DIY Bio CO₂ systems, on the other hand, which work with white household sugar, CO₂ production usually runs irregularly. It usually starts very quickly, but drops sharply again after just a few days, i.e. too much CO₂ is produced at first, and too little later. These systems are therefore less suitable for aquaristic practice.

Carbo Bio Style 120 can be reloaded with the Carbo Bio Depot 120, for a further 40 days after the first reaction has expired.
