Description
This small orchid is a cross between two species originating from Papua New Guinea and neighbouring islands. Depending on the source, the cultivar names 'Little Nora' or 'Nora Tokunaga' are also given for the hybrid. Short pseudobulbs with two about 7 cm long, broadly lanceolate leaves form on a rootstock with adhesive roots. The flowers appear on side shoots and have white and greenish tones. The lip in the middle of the flower has a striking purple stripe pattern and is purple fringed.
Dendrobium normanbyense x rhodostictum is an epiphyte with a rather compact growth habit for tropical terrariums .
