Description

Black Roots are striking pieces of natural driftwood with a deep black colour and a characteristically gnarled structure. Their complex, branching shapes create bold visual accents within an aquascape and give the underwater layout a sculptural and expressive presence. The dark tones contrast strongly with green plants and help create an atmosphere of depth and tranquillity.

Each root is a unique piece of nature. The irregular surface and winding lines of the wood integrate harmoniously with plants, stones and technical elements. Black Roots can be used as solitary centrepieces or in groups to define the structure of foreground, midground or background zones.

Each piece is truly one of a kind. The sets are pre-packed upon arrival at Aquasabi, meaning the shape and exact dimensions cannot be selected. The sets cannot be opened or modified. Product images are for reference only. The included roots vary in size and shape as shown in the set overview.

The wood is not pre-soaked, so it may take varying amounts of time for each piece to sink. As a natural material, the roots may release tannins into the water, causing a slight brownish tint. This is harmless and can be easily removed using Seachem Purigen if desired.
