Description

The Black Bogwood is a striking natural element for aquarium landscapes. Its deep black colour is achieved through a special treatment of originally red bogwood. This intense colouring creates strong contrasts in aquascapes and stands out particularly well against lighter elements such as dragon stone or light-coloured substrates. In combination with plants, stones and substrate, a harmonious yet dramatic layout is achieved.

The twisted, branching structures emphasise natural aesthetics and add depth to the overall design. At the same time, the wood provides valuable hiding spots and climbing areas for aquarium inhabitants. Black Bogwood is suitable for subtle layouts in small tanks as well as for bold centrepieces in larger aquariums.

Each piece is truly one of a kind. The sets are pre-packed when they arrive at Aquasabi, which means the exact shape and dimensions cannot be selected. Sets cannot be opened or modified. Product photos are for reference only. The included roots vary in shape and size as shown in the tables below.

The wood is not pre-soaked, so the time it takes to sink may vary between pieces. As a natural material, the wood may release humic substances, slightly tinting the water brown. This discolouration is harmless and can be reliably removed using Seachem Purigen if necessary.
