Description

The birch branches come from the mixed forests of the northern Black Forest and can be used in many ways in any aquarium. They are ideal for creating a unique, natural-looking scape for shrimp to climb around and other aquatic inhabitants to swim through. In addition, they can serve as a natural food supplement for crayfish and sucking catfish. The fibres of the wood are an important part of the diet of these limnivores. Organic microfilm forms on the surface of the bark, which is used as a welcome food source.

The birch branches have a light, finely structured bark that gives them a natural and lively appearance. Depending on the age and thickness of the branches, the bark may partially peel off, which further emphasises their authentic character. Like all types of wood, birch branches release humic substances into the water, which can cause a slight amber tint. Each branch is unique and one of a kind, with individual shape and grain. The thickness of the branches may vary. The composition of the sets cannot be influenced as they are already pre-assembled. The branches are delivered well dried and therefore do not sink to the bottom immediately.
