Description
The Aquarium Münster Aquavital NH4/NH3 Powder-Pillow Test enables the simple and reliable determination of the total concentration of ammonium (NH4) and ammonia (NH3) in freshwater aquariums. The individually portioned powder reagents are hygienically packaged, offer an extended shelf life and ensure precise test results. The test is easy to perform using just a single reagent and a colour chart for evaluation.
Note
The measured value represents the total concentration of ammonium (NH4) and ammonia (NH3). The enclosed table can be used to determine, based on the pH value, which proportion is present as toxic ammonia (NH3). The actual ammonia load also depends on the water temperature.

Application
- Fill the test vial to the mark with 5 ml of aquarium water.
- Add the complete contents of one Powder-Pillow reagent sachet to the water sample.
- Gently swirl the test vial until the reagent has dissolved completely.
- Place the test vial on the colour chart and determine the total NH4/NH3 concentration by comparing the colour of the sample with the reference colour fields.
For the most accurate results, the test vial and all testing equipment should be clean before each use.
Cleaning
After use, all test containers should be cleaned thoroughly to prevent future measurements from being affected.
- Rinse the test vial with clean water after use
- Remove all reagent residues completely
- Allow the test vial to dry before the next use
Cleaning agents should not be used in the test vial, as residues may influence the water analysis.
