To mark the 10th anniversary of Takashi Amano's death, ADA is publishing Amazon Underwater, a special work documenting Amano's photographic work in the Amazon region between 1995 and 2003. The large-format photo book contains an extensive collection of rare underwater photographs from the Rio Negro basin and other regions of the Amazon.

The photographs show detailed habitats of tropical fish, densely overgrown river sections, root structures and accumulations of foliage in natural biotopes. These authentic images with japanese comments not only offer a unique insight into the ecological relationships, but also serve as a visual source of inspiration for the design of near-natural aquariums.
The high-quality bound illustrated book in 220 × 90 × 180 mm format comprises 120 pages and a dust jacket. The elaborately produced photographs provide an impressive glimpse into a world that is difficult to access and emphasise Amano's creative understanding of aquatic landscapes. A special collector's item for friends of the Nature Aquarium.
