Description
Myriophyllum sp. "Roraima" ist ein Tausendblatt für größere Aquarien, das offenbar im brasilianischen Bundesstaat Roraima gefunden wurde. Diese feinfiedrige Pflanze entwickelt unter Wasser eine prächtige orangegelbe bis braunrote Färbung, ist sehr schnellwüchsig und einfach zu kultivieren. Die Triebe werden über 50 cm lang und ca. 5 cm breit und verzweigen sich regelmäßig. Jeweils fünf feinfiedrige Blätter sind in einem Quirl angeordnet.
Dieses Myriophyllum hat keine speziellen Ansprüche und wächst auch in mittelhartem Wasser und ohne CO2-Zugabe. Es entfaltet aber seine ganze Pracht bei eher starker Beleuchtung, vollständiger Makro- und Mikronährstoffversorgung über die Wassersäule und CO2-Zugabe. Das schnelle Wachstum macht häufiges Einkürzen erforderlich, und Schnitt führt zu buschigerem Wuchs. Die Vermehrung gelingt leicht durch Kopf- und Teilstecklinge. Das Roraima-Tausendblatt toleriert eine große Temperaturspanne und ist auch für Kaltwasseraquarien geeignet.
Das Roraima-Tausendblatt wirkt prächtig als mindestens 30 cm hoher Busch im Hinter- oder Mittelgrund größerer Becken. Als schnellwüchsige Pflanze kann es für die Erstbepflanzung von neu aufgesetzten Aquarien empfohlen werden.
