'Rosanervig' is a hardly known variegated cultivar of the Water wisteria. Its lobed underwater leaves have light nerves similar to the cultivar 'Green White' but differ by partly pink tones, resembling Hygrophila polysperma 'Rosanervig'. As well as the normal Hygrophila difformis, its shoots become 6-12 cm wide and at least 30 cm tall.
Hygrophila difformis is easy to grow and also recommendable for beginners. Medium lighting is sufficient, however good lighting enhances the pink coloration of the cultivar 'Rosanervig'. The plant thrives best with higher temperatures of about 24-28 °C. It should be noted that the emersed (terrestrial) form of Hygrophila difformis differs much from the underwater form. After planting in the tank it develops its typical divided submerged foliage.
Hygrophila difformis 'Pink' is especially beautiful in the midground or background of large aquariums where it can create a distinctive group. It is also interesting as emersed plant in paludariums and Wabi-Kusa.
Please be aware that the submerse form of this plant could contain snails and other invertebrates.
