Description

This medium-sized Eriocaulon is relatively easy to cultivate. It is said to originate from the Brazilian state Goiás. The species has not yet been identified. Lots of light (at least 0.5 W/litre), CO2 injection, a substrate rich in nutrients and the water on the soft side are recommendable. The plant sprouts wide, light green eye-catching leaf rosettes and is great as accent in the middle ground of the aquarium. Like other Eriocaulon species and variants it can be propagated by division. When cultivated in good conditions, Eriocaulon sp. 'Goiás' will flower under water. If the flower spikes stay submersed, they will sprout adventitious plants.
