Description
The Chihiros Dosing Flow Adapter is a connector module made of aluminum alloy for installing up to four dosing tubes directly on the external filter. The adapter is integrated into the pressure line of the filter and delivers liquid fertilizer directly into the water circuit. Each of the four ports is equipped with a built-in check valve to reliably prevent water backflow. The adapter is ideal for use with automatic dosing systems such as the Chihiros Dosing Pump.
It is available in two versions for hose sizes 12/16 mm and 16/22 mm. The housing is made of aluminum, which ensures mechanical durability, but it is not suitable for acidic fertilizer solutions with a pH below 5,5. The system is compatible with the Chihiros Deluxe Color Dosing Tubes. Use with external CO2 diffusers is only partially possible.

Application
The Dosing Flow Adapter is directly integrated into the return line of the external filter and channels liquid fertilizer into the filtration system via connected dosing tubes in a controlled manner.

The water flows from the aquarium through an intake pipe down to the filter. From there, it is pumped back into the aquarium via a pressure return line. The Dosing Flow Adapter is integrated into this return line.
Four dosing tubes are connected to the side of the adapter and linked to a dosing pump. The pump delivers liquid fertilizer from external containers through the tubes directly into the adapter, allowing the nutrients to enter the aquarium evenly with the return water.
The adapter is positioned in the vertical return section just before the tank, injecting the fertilizer precisely where it can be optimally distributed by the flow.
