Description
Bio Rio is the basic of biological filtration. Biological filtration starts quickly after the initial setup, due to the live bacteria adhered on the Bio Rio. It is mainly made of pumice stone with a porous surface, which is ideal environment for beneficial bacteria to colonize. It also supports a long stable filtering activity.

The only reason that I have buy this is because I have a few pimped Dennerle corner filters which have small space for filter media an this is no more than 5mm and it fits... (read more)
Natur ist Natur und sollte Natur gelassen werden. Dies ist eine tolle Möglichkeit, ohne künstlich hergestellte Materialien einen Filter aufzusetzen. (read more)
great product from a good company. Enough media for my filter, plus that i have more now on the side for future use
